4th Annual Pt. Reyes Green Home Tour

SolFest XIV

The Solar Living Institute, nonprofit organization that promotes sustainability through educational programs such as professional solar training, green living workshops and annual conferences and events, presents SolFest XIV. West Coast Green & Passive House Open House 2010

Passive House California is offering a half-day workshop for $149 on Wednesday, September 29, from 8:30AM - 1:00PM, prior to the main West Coast Green conference program.

Following West Green will be the 1st Annual Passive House Open House in California on Sunday, October 3, showcasing super low-energy projects around the San Francisco Bay Area.

Introduction to THERM Seminar

THERM is the software program developed by Lawrence Berkeley Labs and typically used to determine the heat-loss performance for glazing and window frame profiles. This program can also be used to help evaluate various other building assemblies and is particularly useful for Passive House thermal bridge analysis. Join us for an afternoon seminar to learn how to use this program to optimize your building assembly details, reduce thermal bridges and determine how to control moisture in your wall assemblies.  Learn which assemblies will perform better than others and how to locate the likely condensation spots within your foundation, wall and roof assemblies.

Seminar is hosted and run by Bronwyn Barry, a Certified Passive House Consultant and Building Designer at Quantum Builders.

CLAM Blue2 Events

CLAM's Blue2 is expected to be the first new certified Passive House in California, an affordable, energy efficient, low carbon house with superior health and comfort. Blue2 is near completion--come join the celebrations!

Passive House Consultants' Training Program - California

The program consists of a series of three, three-day sessions. These sessions are meant for those architects and building system designers who want to learn how to successfully implement Passive House design principles in residential, commercial, and retrofit scenarios. There will be a significant emphasis on PHPP training. Completion of all three 3-day programs and passage of a Final Exam can qualify participants as Certified Passive House Consultants.
